Here we will talk about all the local and national foundations that support a huge problem for some people, The Mental Health Crisis. This problem is rising and the people that do struggle with mental health, need help and through this it can save their life. Having access to these websites and knowing your not alone in your struggles can have a really positive effect on people and so we find that this page alone can be very resourceful to people.

This is the B4 foundation founded by the Hessbrook family after Brady Hessbrook tragically took his life after struggling with mental health issues. Now Terry Hessbrook, Brady’s father, is traveling the state of Michigan giving speeches about his son and mental health issues, hoping people who struggle with mental health come out and speak up.

This is the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) and was founded by Harriet Shetler. Its goal is to improve the lives of individuals and families affected by mental illness by providing education, support, advocacy, and public awareness. This organization was made by Harriet Shelter and Beverly Young, two mothers that made this program in 1977, to help other mothers who struggle with mental health problems.

This is the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) which was founded by President Harry S. Truman and is funded by the United States Government. President Truman created this institute due to World War II and the military mental crisis. Truman signed the National Mental Health Act bill in 1946 and is still used to this day.
